Chanda’s practice focuses on employment, insurance coverage, professional liability, and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Chanda worked in both private law firms and in-house for an insurance carrier. Chanda brings litigation and appellate experience in defending clients in a wide variety of areas, including employment, insurance coverage, class actions, professional liability, civil rights and commercial disputes. Chanda provides a full spectrum of employment-related services, including employer counseling, internal investigations, and assistance in drafting employee handbooks and policies. Chanda represents employers in administrative proceedings brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, and the Colorado Department of Labor and Enforcement. She also defends employers in various state and federal court proceedings in cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wage and hour. Chanda has also represented businesses in commercial and employment contract disputes, professional liability matters, cases involving vicarious liability, non-compete and trade secret litigation, as well as other commercial tort disputes.
Chanda also brings experience evaluating coverage for Professional E&O, D&O, Cyber-Technology, and EPL and P&C insurance claims, as well as litigating insurance coverage, breach of contract, and bad faith cases. Chanda has represented insurers in a variety of coverage matters, involving property and casualty, employment practices liability, directors and officers liability, cyber and technology liability, privacy breaches and intellectual property litigation, lawyers professional liability, real estate professional liability, and various other errors and omissions liability matters. Further, Chanda has significant experience in drafting insurance policy language and analyzing insurance applications to evaluate and minimize the potential risks and exposure to insurers.
